Business Development Representative (BDR)

What we are looking for:

Rehearsal is looking for a motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) who will help us grow our revenue by acting as the first point of contact with prospective clients. The ideal candidate will be naturally gifted at starting conversations and building relationships with prospective clients. We are a growing SaaS company focused on video-based elearning and collaboration. 

You will be responsible for both selling the value of Rehearsal’s platform and ensuring leads are qualified before either working them directly or handing them off to our Account Executives. Would you describe yourself as “professionally persistent” “organized” and “love to hustle”? If this is you, we want you on our sales team at Rehearsal in the growing community of Reno-Tahoe. This is a growth opportunity for someone with 1-2 years selling or business development representative experience. Experience with a technology or Software as a Service (SaaS) companies is a plus. 

What you may be doing:

  • Generate and qualify inbound and outbound leads, often acting as the first person to speak to a potential customer
  • Maintain high volumes of touch points with leads with precision follow-up 
  • Nurture our sales pipeline by supporting our account executives 
  • Organize and prioritize outreach, demos, and follow-up to qualified prospects 
  • Maintain our CRM to manage sales funnel 
  • Generate and manage sales pipeline and demand gen reports for sales team 
  • Represent Rehearsal at events and maintain a visible profile in our industry; listening to prospective customer needs and educating them on our product offering 
  • Learn the nuances of the training and development industry and become an expert on the concept of practice-based employee development
  • Support marketing initiatives by developing effective lead generation and sales enablement collateral and tools
  • Understand customer goals, plans, challenges, timeline, budget, authority
  • Deliver quality and tailored demonstrations of our platform to prospects based on their individual needs and priorities
  • Meet or exceed your opportunity generation quota

  • Ability to speak with both decision makers and influencers and ask intelligent questions
  • Possess a self-starter personality and be comfortable with change; ideal candidates will have experience working in rapidly-changing environments and adapting and contributing to an evolving sales processes

  • Excellent written & verbal communication
  • A sense of urgency and persistence
  • Comfortable with web-based technology
  • Ability to complete sales and activity details utilizing CRM and Marketing Automation software
